We Drink Inspiration Poetry Prompt Vacation

As you all have noticed, I didn’t post the prompt today.

I didn’t warn any of you about this, but here’s what’s going on.

First, I started a new job today.  I’ve decided that, for the next couple of weeks, I’m going to take a break whilst I get acclimated to my new schedule.  And my back hurts like hell.  That last bit has nothing to do with anything.

Second, I’d like to give the story prompts that time to catch up.  If you’ve noticed, I kind of went overboard during the holiday season by not taking a break when I probably should have, thus throwing us out of sync some.  This has confused me a bit.  I don’t know if it has confused anyone else, but it is throwing me off.  Maybe it’s just my compulsion to have random things synchronized, ordered, or what have you.  Or, I’m just looking for an excuse.

All the same, for the next two weeks, I’ll be taking a break for the reasons I’ve stated.  Also, I’ll be working out the details about the contest I mentioned to all of you.  I plan on getting this started here in February, but I might push it back to March, depending on how this work week goes (I’m gauging how my time will pan out).

I appreciate you all bearing with me and thank you all for your patronage.

  1. So happy to hear you have a new job. So sorry to hear your back hurts. I’ll check back in a couple of weeks. My semester is pretty intense, and I’m afraid it might cut into my blogging. Like you, I am figuring out how my schedule will work out.

Best wishes in your new employment!
