Imagine my surprise when I realized I had scheduled not one, but two features for today. And fortunately they both happened to be authors, one of whom I have just recently become acquainted with and the other of whom I’ve known for the last few years.
For the first feature, I’d like to introduce the one whom I have just recently become acquainted with.
Her name is Jen Glantz.
To say she is prolific would be quite the understatement.
But the cursory review of her site, The Things I Learned From, is all one needs to see that she is not only well written, but her work is interspersed throughout the writing world, on such platforms as JMag, Ali Belinski’s Blog, Pretty Providence and a plethora of others. Still, to get the full effect of the writing prowess that is Jen Glantz, one needs more than a cursory review.
Jen Glantz is the author of the work All My Friends Are Engaged. All My Friends Are Engaged is a collection of stories of dating faux pas and disasters, one that is sure to appeal to those of you who are currently engaged in the woes and dramas – and hilarities – of dating as well of those of you who are thankful that you are with your significant others but don’t mind a trip down your very own memory lanes, back into those days when you, too, were met with dating disasters. That is to say, anybody who has ever dated will be able to identify with this book.
Here are what some of the reviews say:
I read a lot of the authors articles on the thought catalog and had to download the Ebook when I saw it was available. She writes with such honesty and humor! I literally finished it in one reading… Looking forward to reading more!!
The most honest and most hilarious book I have read in a while!! Could not put it down. Recommend for anyone, single or not, because we have all been there!
Every Jewish mother and every mother would be blessed to have a daughter like Jen! She has given so much of herself in this book – she bares her feelings in an upbeat and unflappable manner. She is EVERY YOUNG GIRL ON THE DATING SCENE. She makes you feel normal and confident in yourself. It is a humorous and truthful account of what life is like to navigate as a young lady in New York City. Don’t miss the “Auditioning for the Bachelor.” YOU WON’T BE SINGLE LONG!” Cousins Iris and Steve Kalt and their author friends Joann and Gary Mercer.
So take a leap. Should you be of a mind to see that you are truly not alone when it comes to this excursion we call life and that side adventure called dating that we all must partake in at some point, check out All My Friends Are Engaged.
